New York yes/no

•Oktober 23, 2007 • Kommentar schreiben

Aaaaaaas nobody knows yet, I may go to New York the first weekend of November. i MAY go to New York!!! Unfortunately, everybody of the 4 people that wanted to join us canceled it, so it would only be me and my hostmum, Kim. The big question is if on one side, Mike maybe wouldn’t want us to go and on the other side, if it may be to expensive when we are the only people going there. I very much hope we will do it, though I can’t take pictures of New York because my camera is broken.

America on my head!

This weekend seems like it’s not too exciting. If it was I could probably still remember what i did yesterday :D . What I can tell you is that I did my very first visit at an American barber… so, I have an American haircut now, though it’s not too different from a German one ;) . practice today was canceled, because it was raining all day. Wimps!!! It was exactly my weather to play, well… American people don’t like it to get wet too much. So much for today. Have a nice day at school!

All das passiert unbewusst. Manchmal schalte ich in meinen Gedanken ganz unbemerkt von deutsch auf englisch um, die eine Haelfte des gedachten Satzes ist dann deutsch, die andere Englisch.

What is Homecoming?

Only two days to go until my first Homecoming. I’m sure, most of my German readers have absolutely no idea what I mean with „Homecoming“ so I wrote a little explanation. Here it is, just for you ;) weiterlesen ‘What is Homecoming?’

for EVERYBODY!

•September 21, 2007 • 1 Kommentar

So… no soccer-news today. There are some but I don’t think you want to hear them ;)

This week was very… have I ever mentioned that it’s stressy here? I guess I did! So was this week. Practice everyday so I came home at about 9 pm. Fortunately I have my senior study hour in which I have the opportunity to do all my homework, but there is no time to do additional work what is very difficult especially in my AP Psychology class! The coming weekend will finally be a time to rest and to get my power back, because I am feelin’ pretty exhausted the last days. The next week it’s time for homecoming and I basically have no clue about it. I only now I have to dress up in a cape and a mask on Tuesday. No, I don’t have to but I want it because I am allowed and I always wanted to wear a cape, probably since I’m three years old :) . The next week has different themes everyday that are all about clothes. I can’t wait to see if people are actually doin’ it ;) . For everybody who wants to see the themes, read more!

getting a bad habbit

ohh how sad was that?! saved penalty and then it’s redone because american referees don’t know what they are doin’! Here is the story for everybody who is either in germany or just wasn’t at the game. The opposite team – jux whatever – got a penalty, a free shot on my goal from a distance of about 12 yards. I saved it!!! The first time…! the referee said I’m not allowed to do the step forward that I need to jump. When I’m not doing this step I have two choices: Jumping into my own goal or just falling. Both techniques are not a good decision when it’s about to save a penalty shot, so I have to do that step. I always did it and no referee ever had a problem with that, except for this one yesterday. They scored on the second penalty. We won the game anyway, 7:1 but for a keeper this 1 is like a defeat! To all american referees: LEARN YOUR BUSINESS!!!
